1 September. 11810 pupils sat down at the desks in nineteen schools of Pushkin Town.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry was founded in Pushkin Town. The businessman B.L. Blotner was the first president of the Chamber. V.I. Afanasenko was the director of the chamber.
The Fiodorovsky Cathedral was given to the Russian Orthodox church in the ruined condition. Since 1995 the Father-Superior Markell (Vetrov) was appointed the senior priest of the Cathedral, since 2006 he became the bishop of Peterhof, a vicar of the Saint Petersburg eparchy.
The public organization "The Committee of Twin Cities Relations of Pushkin Town" was established. By 2001 the contacts with eighteen twin cities was established. The most effective humanitarian welfare was provided by the citizens of Noikeln (a district of Berlin) in difficult times.
